!ambientrance review: -  larry kucharz: ambient blue washes

When we last heard from Larry kucharz, he was tearing up the digital dancefloor
with Unit 34 : assorted tracks. Here he simply floats upon the living colors of
ambient blue washes... nice stuff!

It's just so easy to do a slow-motion fall-back-into the airily hovering blue
wash no. 1.... lightly sheening highs perform glacial curlicues over warmer low
spirals, so subdued. blue wash no. 2 adopts a rippling fading-in-and-out
delivery... still peaceful, but more actively contoured. Deeper currents stir
beneath blue wash no. 3 (9:43); in this "short", rather-minimalistic track,
thin tonal gusts intermittently swirl across a sinuous chasm. Spacious!

blue wash no. 5 (14:17) blissfully levitates as stratified tonedrones wrap
around each other, streaming off into vast distances, in whatever directions
you care to envision. The filaments of dreamy finale blue wash no. 6
string-soar in gauzey vortex patterns across a bright skyscape.

Six long-playing scenes of supreme synth subtlety from Larry kucharz will tint
your world with more-than-72-minutes of ambient blue washes. Gorgeously placid
floatations await in pristine soundwaves. A-

Stephen Lee Canner's music is quiet, dark, and southern: the plaintive
longing heard from a back porch or a prison cell.

His first solo recording Black Dirt and Blue Eyes is slated for release
this spring on Backwoods Modern Recordings.
